For those of you who are like me (unfamiliar with buying books for voice lessons), there IS a CD included with this version of the Ready To Sing -Folk Songs (ISBN 0739002260). This may be a given for ALL voice books, but not knowing whether this is true or not, I spent quite a bit of time trying to find out whether the CD came with this version or not - here's hoping I've saved you a little bit of time! We received the book with CD today. Here is a complete list of the songs in the book:

Good for young singers!!

As a middle school choir teacher, this is the go-to resource for starting young singers on their way to learning good singing technique. There is good variety of style, tempo, even languages. This version of "The Water is Wide" is one I've taught for many years. The students love it, and even ask to sing it. The accompaniment CD with this book is easier to follow than others I've used.

Very good choice for beginning repertoire!!

This book is a wonderful reference. It describes the little (and inexpensive) things you can do to make your environment safer for your immune system. There are tables of reference. The ideas provided on cleaning products, personal hygiene, medical, are everything you need to know to help yourself.
It is short and condensed. You can read it quickly and use it for a reference for years to come. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to make their "space" a life-long healthier way to live.

We discuss many topics of Cynthia Fincher's book "Healthy Living in a Toxic World" in class and I have found that as a student I have only started scratching the surface of many serious issues. There are many things I didn't even think about until I enrolled in Ecological Psycology and Cynthia Fincher brought them to my attention. I strongly encourge everyone to read her book, it is very informative. Buying women's clothes is the next step. And there is massive humiliation. Morgan stops sex with Davine. and has sex with other men. And become pregnant by another man. Davine is fine with all this. And there are many additional steps to Davine's sissyhood. I thought the motivation was all right. Morgan is the person making this happen and Davine the submissive sissy. Great pictures, but not great writing

This is one of the very first book I bought on De Stijl, and I have bought many since and I am trying to review all the ones I have bought on Amazon so far.

I would really not recommend this particular book, however, unless you are a college professor. I have a college degree in English, and I could hardly understand a single point the author was trying to make. His text was bloated on "scholarly" vocabulary (or jargon). It seemed to ramble around and around, trying to make some point about De Stijl in the context of Dutch history, but I really don't think I ever got what the point was.

This is also a small book, so don't expect the pictures to be particularly large.

If you want a quick, interesting look at De Stijl, this is not your book. If you want great pictures of De Stijl classics, this is not your book.

I really expected more from a Thames and Hudson book (I have others published by them, and they are wonderful). But, this one was a miss.
