Born in Kuwait to Palestinian refugee parents, a chance meeting led Mostafa Salameh first to London and then to Edinburgh, where he partied to excess, despite having little money. Islam played almost no part in his thinking. Yet it was in Edinburgh that Mostafa had a dream ? a profoundly religious experience that would see him renew his faith and change the course of his entire life.

One night, Mostafa dreamt that he was standing at the highest point in the world reciting the call to prayer. Despite having no prior mountaineering experience or training, he was inspired to follow his vision and climb Mount Everest. He failed to summit twice before finally reaching the top in 2008 ? going on to become the first Jordanian ever to reach the North Pole, and to scale the 'Seven Summits'. Benjamin Bayani was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and grew up in Somerville, Massachusetts. He attended Somerville High School where he was a letterman in football and hockey. He graduated and then attended Nichols College where he excelled in creative writing. He dropped out after his first year and went to work as a carpenter. He now works for an airline industry, lives in Medford, MA with his fiance. He loves reading and writing. He has three short stories published, a book published on Amazon and is currently working on his second book.

I would have given it 5 and 1/2 stars, if it wasn't for ...

Being a single father of eight children and juggling two jobs can be challenging; let alone to read a book. But my friend recommended this book and I totally ate it up. Yum yum yum. I had fun reading this book. It was entertaining, smart and full of good humor. The way it was written really drew me into the story. I could not put it down.

Excellent story with a strong and well thought character base. The dialogue was very good. Felt as if you could picture being there in the scenes. The book had me hooked. Was exciting to read and kept my attention throughout the Nation's journey. Bayani paints a clear picture for the reader to enjoy. This story was definitely worth the time to read. I would like to see a sequel in the near future. I highly recommend this reading.

I loved the book! I couldn't put it down. It had me from the begining. It was Creative, funny and very well written. While I have been to some of these places mentioned in the book I could picture most of the scenes out and it made it enjoyable to read the book. I would recommend this book to whoever is looking for a fun, entertaing read. I hope there are more books to come!

Excellent resource on learning SpriteKit, much easier than the older methods for creating iOS games. It's easy to follow along with, the project created in the book covers all the basics and even get's you up to submitting your application to Apple which is really helpful. I don't really enjoy following along in a book and getting to the end just to see I'll need to pickup another book to continue onward, this book didn't do that and I highly recommend it.

Puts the rabbit in the hat for SpriteKit.

I've seen a few books on SpriteKit and I think this is probably the easiest to assimilate. The book is mostly built around a single game project that expands in completeness/complexity as the book progresses. The author takes you from a very simplistic app to one that has simple gameplay but covers all of the basic operation of SpriteKit to a complete app that includes sound, hardware interaction and particle emitters.

At first I did wonder if this concentration on a single game would be limiting, but it is not. The author takes the time to explain just about everything and the one game really is an ideal vehicle to understand what you need to build just about any game with SpriteKit. I particularly liked the section about adding shadows.

A great intro to Spritekit, clearly explained and with some very practical information about handling Audio.

Purchased this book for a research paper for a undergraduate class. This book is written for individuals who already have prior knowledge on the subject. I found it to be not a great book, and a waste of my money. This book will be donated to my local charity, in hopes someone else can enjoy.
